Hey, Prateek! For listening, I recommend Overcast. I have an iPhone and Apple’s Podcasts app is a mess, while Overcast is easier to use, and has great features around sound effects (faster playback speed, smartly removing long silence…) Not sure on Android apps.
You’re in luck because you’ll definitely find shows around the topics you like. 😀 For business and tech, check out the podcasts category on Product Hunt. You can preview shows right there and there are some great shows posted daily. It can be a bit overwhelming, so treat it like reading books — don’t bother listening to anything you don’t really enjoy!
For storytelling, the NPR mafia (making up that term) is your go to. This American Life, Serial, and then branching off any of the Gimlet Media shows. Radiolab. Longform. Lots of good stuff out there. Sample stuff liberally to find what you like.
A friend who’s been helping me in starting my new podcast covers pretty much all the topics you listed in one show — if you’re into VR/AR, give The Real Virtual Show a spin. Shout out Malia Probst!
Hope that gets you started. It’s a great time to discover podcasting with so much content available. Enjoy!
